La Compagnie will be performing at 1:00 and 3:30. Also, willing participants can take part in several group dances that Genot will demonstrate and teach to authentic French music of Detroit's past.
The 90 minute program features Great Lakes sea shanties for sing-alongs, lively Celtic and French Canadian toe-tapping jigs and reels, touching ballads of life on the Great Lakes, interactive stories and simple dances for voluntary audience participation. La Compagnie will perform "Music of Mackinac" at the historic Ste. Anne's Church on Mackinac Island.
Conklin Park: La Compagnie will be available for a "meet and greet" the afternoon of Saturday, August 1 from 3:00-5:00 with a formal concert-in-the-park at 8:00 p.m. Another meet-and-greet will be held on Sunday, August 2 at the same location from 12:00 noon to 2:30 p.m.

La Compagnie will kick-off the Smithsonian Exhibit's "Crossroads: The Change of Rural America," which comes to Rogers City, MI. La Compagnie, along with local historians and videographers has created an audio-visual and musical-dance exposé that celebrates the changing face of the northeastern lower peninsula of Michigan.
